The Southold NJROTC unit held their annual Basic Leadership Training (BLT) this past weekend. This overnight trip to the 4-H camp in Baiting Hollow allows new cadets to advance in rank and earn awards while also learning the important values of the program such as marching, basics in drill, academics, and leadership. This year, about 48 cadets attended the training and about 25 cadres helped run the weekend’s activities. From Greenport, 5 cadres and over 10 cadets attended.
