Cameron Stanton & Brianna Rivas
Class of 2024
In a joint effort between National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society, Greenport students participated in cleaning out the sculptors Robert Berk's Studio in Orient. In a drawer in the studio students found metal casting sheets used to print editions of The Quill in the 1970's. Members of The Quill have been pouring over these primary sources to gain inspiration. Throughout the year there will be throwbacks to these past editions.
In the 1970s the Quill released an interactive portion of the issue where students were quizzed on how well they know their classmates (left). Instead of using traditional descriptions, Students were asked to identify their classmates based on black and white pictures taken of the back of their heads. We have decided to include this in our modern issue and see how well students at Greenport High school know their classmates today!
