On Friday, November 21, Chef Harley hosted the second annual Thanksgiving feast for all his students and teachers. For the two years that Mr Harley has worked here as the Family and Consumer Science teacher, he has fostered a new but classic tradition of having his students cook a Thanksgiving meal to give out right before break. This is certainly a tradition that all look forward to.
The menu includes the Thanksgiving classic dishes: turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, mac n' cheese, corn esquites, green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, and pies. It is hard to think of a single dish that has not been thought of and lovingly cooked.
This extensive selection showcases the students' hard work and skill progression over the first quarter. This tradition has not only brought good food into Greenport school, but also expresses gratitude and appreciation for our students and teachers.
Thank you for another wonderful meal Chef Harley and his students!
