It's been such a lovely start to EIPK, I am so proud of how brave eveyone has been, both the parents and the students. Starting school is a big time and for many of our students, it is their first time being away from their families!

We have been busy here in EIPK learning the routines of going to school. We've been taking it slow with lots of time to play and explore! We have been going to the gym, having music time with Mr. Scott, and spending time outside in our exciting new "backyard" space.

We have been busy snapping pictures of all our EIPK adventures, however, I cannot post any until I get the green light from the office that all the FOIP forms are in order. Stay tuned, I promise the pictures will be worth the wait!

Pete the Cat

It's been all about our favourite cat Pete these past few weeks in EIPK. We read Pete the Cat: I Love my White Shoes and also made a Pete the cat sensory bin where different animals could try stepping in strawberries, blueberries, mud (chocolate pudding), and water, just like Pete. Some of our sensory players really loved this bin and might have come home with some messy clothes as a result!

We also got messy painting with different paintbrushes these past few weeks, including shoes and dish brushes. It is so fun for children to explore painting with pretty much any item you can think of!

On Thursday, we had a brief, age appropriate chat about Terry Fox and looked at a few pictures of him. Then we had our very own little Terry Fox run across the school yard. The students were super pumped and loved to chant, "Go Terry Go!"

- Our afternoon class will have their pictures taken on Monday, September 25th.
- The morning class will have their picture taken on Tuesday, September 26th.
**** If your child is a three-year-old from the afternoon class, I have emailed to let you know what your picture day options are, as the three-year-olds will not be there for the pictures on Monday afternoon.

- October 13th - Three-Year-Old Friday
- Our three-year-olds are invited to come to school this day for a special morning class with only the three-year-olds. This class will be from 8:30 - 11:15 am
