Happy Mother's Day!

Our entire PK team would like to wish all of our hard working mom's the happiest of Mother's Day this weekend. We know that what you do is not easy, and we appreciate each and every one of you!  I hope you get to spend some quality time with those who mean the most to you.

Ocean Week, Part Two!

We continued with our ocean theme this past week. From a shark obstacle course in the gym to an ocean scavenger hunt, it was oodles of deep sea fun!

Ocean Bingo!

On Monday our four-year-olds enjoyed a friendly little game of ocean bingo! This vocabulary-expanding activity also helped students to strengthen their visual recognition and matching skills as they worked to find the ocean creatures that were the same.

Under the Sea Scavenger Hunt!

On Wednesday and Thursday the students took turns diving into the hallways to search for ocean creatures! Scavenger hunts are so simple, work on so many important skills, and are so loved by children.

Yellow Show and Tell!

Between the yellow outfits and the yellow show and tell items, it was a sea of yellow in here on Thursday. Thank you to all of our PK families for helping your children to participate in our yellow day.

Please note: If your child missed Thursday and really wanted to bring in their show and tell item, they are welcome to bring it one day next week instead!

Library Books

We are having a tricky time with signing out library books. As a result, you might have noticed some of the students were not able to bring books home, and some students brought books home on Thursday instead of Wednesday. Fingers crossed we will have better success with the system next week.

Drop, Cover, Hold

Our school has been practicing different emergency protocols this past month. This past week we practiced a Hold and Secure Drill on Monday, and a Drop, Cover, Hold Drill on Tuesday. We have also practiced a few Emergency Evacuation Drills over the past month. I am so proud of how well everyone has been listening during these very important drills. Pre-K students might seem young to participate in these types of drills, but you are never to young to learn and practice important safety skills!

If you have any questions about our drills, please feel free to reach out at any time.
