Up, Up, and Away!

We painted, cut, and glued to strengthen our fine motor skills while making hot air balloons this week. The students were really interested in this project and hot air balloons in general. We watched several video clips of hot air balloons; here is the link to our favourite one in case you want to enjoy it together at home as well! Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

The Way I Feel

Mrs. Janet introduced us to more calming tools this week. We cut and glued our favourite tools into a feelings book that your children will be bringing home on Monday. We are working to understand that all feelings are okay, but sometimes we need the help of a tool or an adult to calm down when our feelings get really big.

One of the calm down tools we are learning is mindful movement and stretching!

On Monday, the students had fun painting with cars. This sensory activity is an easy art project you can do at home as well!

Twinning!

Thank you to all of our students who participated in twin day! Everyone was excited to look at each other's outfits and find the twins within our classroom.

Our staff was thrilled that so many friends joined us in wearing red and black - it was fun to have so many twins in the room :)

Staffing Update

We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Pennycook will be back on Monday!

Thank you to Mrs. Nagy and Mrs. Miller for helping out while Mrs. Pennycook was away. We are lucky enough to still have Mrs. Nagy as part of our morning team, and we are excited for future visits from Mrs. Miller when an educational assistant substitute is needed!
