Exploring Bugs

This week we explored bugs in a variety of ways. We went on a bug hunt, looking high and low for our little friends. This encouraged the kids to explore, observe, and build their vocabulary as they curiously searched the hallway for bugs.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

As part of bug week we sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider in Four Languages: English, Cree, French, and Serbian. We also talked about the diverse languages within our classroom. Ask your child which version they liked best. Here are the links:

Coming Up!

  • May 18th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm: PK and Kindergarten Open House

  • May 19th and 20th: PD Days, no school

  • May 23rd: Victoria Day, no school

  • June 1st: No School for PK, early dismissal day for the rest of the school

  • June 23rd: Last day of PK

Parent-Child Swim Days!

We are so excited for our upcoming parent-child pre-k swim days that are happening on May 27th and June 3rd from 12:00 - 1:00 pm.

Please note:

  • To ensure the safety of our students, each child is required to have a parent or guardian get in the pool with them.

Do you have a pre-school age child who struggles with following directions, communication, separation anxiety, temper tantrums, changes in schedule or other developmental milestones? Consider having an intake screening and find out if your child can qualify for pre-kindergarten with us.
