The Pictures are Coming...

Unfortunately we are STILL waiting for confirmation that we can start posting student pictures on our blogs. This cannot begin until all the student verification forms are done and have been processed by central office. So, in the meantime, you will have to enjoy my exciting weekly updates without any cute pictures; however, the pictures will come when its time, and they will be worth the wait!

Halloween is in the Air!

We had an exciting week here in EIP. There were a variety of Halloween centers set up for the students to enjoy. From costumes in the dress up center, to pumpkin and ghost plastic-wrap painting, there was oodles of spooky fun happening in our classroom!

Christmas in October?!

Yes, you read that right! Even though we have not yet had Halloween, we were busy this past week working on my favourite Christmas project and fundraiser. Each year, the students at Robina Baker make artwork that their parents can pay to have printed on Christmas cards. These cards are always so cute! Your children have been busy working on this project and their artwork will soon be sent away to the printer for sample cards to be made. Keep an eye on your children's mailbag early in November, this is when they will be bringing home their sample cards and you will have the opportunity to purchase them at that time if you would like.

Volunteer Opportunities

I have had many parents inquire about volunteering in our EIP classroom! If you would like to help out, please click this link to sign up for a timeslot. Please note, as many parents have expressed an interest in volunteering, I am asking each interested parent or guardian to only sign up for one timeslot to ensure that everyone who wants to volunteer has the opportunity.

**Please note, you are required to complete the volunteer form through your PowerSchool account before you may volunteer at Robina Baker School.

Thank You!

A huge thank you goes out to Selena White for another batch of play dough. Thank you, Selena! Getting a new fresh batch of play dough allows us to throw out the old, hard, and sometimes germ-filled play dough, and we are so grateful!

Socktober

The Grade 4 Leadership Team is looking for new socks in all sizes for Socktober! All of our donated socks will be given to the Mustard Seed.

Socktober was started in 2011 by one person and last year participants on all seven continents donated pairs of socks!
