This intergalactic theme is so fun, the students can't seem to spend enough time in outer space! From painting with shaving cream to making name rockets, we got creative while we learned about space this past week.

On Monday, our four-year-olds worked on printing their names. This is a hard skill! We learned that letters are formed from the top down and worked on first tracing the letters in our name, and then on trying to print our name by ourselves. After this hard work was over, it was time to get messy and have fun! We used shaving cream to paint planets. The end result is super cool!

The warm weather was very inviting! We had fun outside and got messy painting the snow. The students made cakes, cupcakes, and colourful snowmen! This easy activity would be fun to re-create at home too. (We just need to wait for the snow to come back!)

Our three-year-olds enjoyed sequencing the letters of their names while making a space rocket craft on Friday. This simple craft introduced our students to the letters in their name while reinforcing colour names, and strengthening hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Our EIP team is having a slight staffing shift. Mrs. Luftie will be moving up to support grades one to four in our school. We will miss you Mrs. Luftie, thanks for all the fun times and be sure to say hi to us in the hallway!

Your child is welcome to bring Valentine's cards if you wish. Please see my email for a list of student names and ensure you send a card for each child in the class
Please send your child a special snack to enjoy while we watch a Valentine's Day movie. Fun ideas include a cookie, a small bag of chips, and a juice box
