Apples, Apples Everywhere!

We had a short week here in EIPK with no school on Tuesday or Wednesday, but we packed in as much fun as we could! We were busy with picture day, our new apple theme, and orange shirt day activities.

Orange Shirt Day

On Monday we wore orange shirts as a reminder that every child matters. We read the book, "With Our Orange Hearts" which is an age appropriate story that begins to touch on the important concept behind orange shirt day. 

After this, we talked about how children deserve to feel... With a little support the children were able to help us brainstorm different words. Every child should feel... loved, cared for, safe... We put these powerful little words on feathers to create a display for our hallway bulletin board. Check it out below. 

Apple Stories, Apple Painting!

On Thursday our four year olds enjoyed a little apple snack while listening to the story, "Elephant Goes to School." This silly story about an elephant going to school references apples many times. There was an apple painting center open afterwards and many students enjoyed painting apple trees and even stamp painting with apples themselves!

We Are Still Waiting for Pictures!

Unfortunately we are still waiting for a few more Student Verification Forms to be filled out and processed. I cannot start posting pictures on the blog until this is done. 

However, there is no need to panic, we have still been snapping pictures and capturing all of that EIPK cuteness, you will just need to wait a bit longer before you can see them!
