Staggered Start Success!

I am proud to say we had a successful first week here in PK! Each student enjoyed coming to school for their staggered start day. I was so proud of how brave everyone was, both the students and the parents!

We spent our week meeting new friends, learning the school routines, going on school tours, and having lots of fun too! From play doh to the water table, and trains to the kitchen corner, our classroom was busy, busy, busy!

Hello Pete!

We enjoyed two different Pete the Cat books this week. These books were a hit with the kids, especially I Love My White Shoes, everyone seems to love this light-hearted, sing-song story.

Wash Your Hands!

One thing we always learn how to do in PK, is wash our hands! This learning already started with an important message from Baby Shark, right on our first day! First we read Baby Shark's Wash Your Hands book, then we followed with the video, and lastly, by washing our own hands! Here is a link to the video incase your little one wants to watch it at home as well!

Verification Forms!

If you have not yet filled out your verification form, please take a few minutes to do so. This form allows you to confirm you personal and contact information, and is also where you give permission for things like FOIP (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy). FOIP permission is needed for me to post pictures of your child on the blog, as well as include their picture in the school yearbook.

If you need help filling these forms out or have any questions, please feel free to contact the school and the office staff will be happy to help you out!

Please note, I will not be posting pictures on the blog until the majority of the verification forms have been filled out and a list of who gave FOIP consent can be generated by the office staff.

Family Pictures Needed!

If you have not yet sent in a family picture, please feel free to do so! You are welcome to tuck it in your child's mail bag or else email it to me to print off. We have all the pictures hanging up in the classroom and the students enjoy looking at them for a little piece of home while they are at school.
