April 12-15

The Mystery Food Game!

On Monday the students enjoyed playing the mystery food game with Mrs. Towne! This game requires you to use your very best question-asking and detective skills to try and figure out what food is hiding in the mystery-food can! This week there was a potato and rotini pasta hiding in the can.

Planting Grass

As part of our spring theme we each planted our own little cup of grass this week. First we learned about what a seed needs to grow: dirt, water and sun, then we got straight to work planting our seeds.

We will work together to take care of our seeds everyday! Hopefully we are successful and see some grass growing soon!

Painting with Worms!

After reading "Worm Weather" we got messy painting with worms! Since real worms would likely not enjoy getting covered in paint, we used string worms instead.

This fun little art project is simple, yet so exciting. The students were excited to open up their painting at the end and see what their worms had painted inside!

Chalk Play

We took advantage of the nice weather to get outside and be creative with our sidewalk chalk on Thursday!

A Special Visitor at the Park!

Our morning class was thrilled with a furry little visitor this week. Having a cat at the park was a good opportunity to practice looking but not touching animals that we don't know!
