Halloween Fun!

We packed our week with Halloween fun. From pumpkins to mummies, Halloween was on the top of our agenda!

Wrapping Mummies!

This fun little craft involved taping up mummies. Children seem naturally drawn to playing with tape, so, why not let them create with this sticky wonder! This little activity strengthened fine motor skills and worked on our pincer grasps. We practiced our "m" sound by saying the word "mummy."

Pumpkin Palooza

Tuesday and Wednesday were dedicated to pumpkins this week.

We cleaned out our pumpkins on Tuesday and created pumpkin volcanoes using baking soda, vinegar, food coloring, and a squirt of dish soap. This explorative activity was action packed and we loved erupting our volcanoes again and again!

On Wednesday, we worked together with our table mates to design and carve our pumpkins. Our pumpkins look fantastic in the Pre-K windows! We are hoping to be the lucky winners of the RBES pumpkin carving contest!

Morning Class Pumpkins!

Afternoon Class Pumpkins!

Party Day!

Thursday we had all sorts of fun Halloween activities on the go. The students were SO excited to show off their orange, black, and Halloween t-shirts to each other.

We had a Halloween scavenger hunt, a spooky story on the overhead projector about a witches brew, and we explored with baking soda, vinegar, a water bottle, and a balloon to make spooky magically inflating ghosts!

Happy Halloween!

Our PK team would love to wish all of our PK families a safe and Happy Halloween! Please email me pictures of your child in their costume so we can look at them together as a class next week.
