Happy St. Patrick's Day

This week we packed in oodles of St. Patrick's Day fun. Everyone was excited to show off their green clothes on Wednesday!

Marble Painting

On Monday, we used marbles to paint shamrocks. This was a tricky task! We needed to roll the marbles slow and steady to keep from falling out of the pan!

Magic Rainbows!

On Tuesday we used "magic rainbow pellets" (aka Skittles) to make magic rainbows. This was a fun science experiment!

The first step was to carefully place the magic rainbow pellets around the perimeter of the container.

Next we added some warm water.

And lastly, we watched our rainbows grow!

If you are patient enough, the rainbow will fill your entire bowl!

Earth Rangers Virtual Field Trip

On St. Patrick's Day, our afternoon class was lucky enough to participate in the Earth Rangers virtual field trip. We seen many cool animals on the big screen and learned some fun new facts too!

There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover!

Our morning class enjoyed this silly book on St. Patrick's Day. This fun book has many new words in it and helped us to expand our St. Patrick's Day vocabulary.

What's in the Mystery Can?

On Thursday we played a new game, what kind of food is hiding in the mystery can? In this game the students have to ask questions to try and figure out what kind of food is hiding in the mystery can! This week our mystery foods were broccoli and a green apple!

Mat Man

On Thursday we began to develop body awareness while strengthening our fine motor skills. The students followed along to draw their very own little mat man! I was impressed by how well everyone followed along during this guided drawing activity.
