Swimming!

There will be a Pre-K parent-child swim happening on Friday, May 26th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Down on the Farm....

We started our farm unit this past week. It was all about farm animals and farm food, and even a little bit of farm science too!

Hopping Corn Science

After chatting about the different kinds of food that grow on a farm, we engaged in a little corn science experiment. The results were so exciting I could not help but to share a little video!

Farm Animal Masks!

It was starting to feel like a real farm yard when we busted out the supplies to make farm masks this past week. Some students really got into it and made several! Mask making promotes the development of fine motor skills, and also encourages imaginative farm play within the classroom.

Let's Get MESSY!

We had a messy art center open on Wednesday. Thank you for sending your children in their finest paint clothes! We put out several kinds of paint and a variety of brushes and let the students explore and paint at their own free will. Some of their creations were awesome! And some students had a total sensory experience getting their hands (and even their arms) right into it!

Shelter In Place

We practiced a shelter in place drill on Monday. I was amazed and so proud of how our students sat quietly for attendance and until the drill was over. Practicing these drills is important for both staff and students so we know what to do in the event of a real emergency. If you have any questions about these practices, please do not hestitate to reach out!
