NOVEMBER 22, 2020

This week our 2B class found a creative way for a movement break in the classroom. This is a wonderful modification using straws and desks to mimic the drum fit activity. So cool!

RBES would like to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our parents and our sponsors of the SPELL-A-THON! Many of our students participated in the fundraising and thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised just over $8,500. Wow! We were not expecting that in these difficult times. Our RBES community is truly an amazing group of people! We tried to get as many individual photos as possible. With all of the protocols that we follow, we could not do our traditional group photos, but we did manage to get some pictures of many happy students. You can click here to see additional photos!

Students continue to look forward to and enjoy our virtual assemblies. We keep them short as we don't have the ability to move around too much. This week we reinforced some safety messages for playing in the snow and we all got to try a new online quiz game called Quizziz. The students had lots of fun and it sure is wonderful to see so many smiling faces now that all of our teachers have webcams in their classrooms. If you would like to try our Quizziz from Friday, you can click on this link: SNOW SAFETY QUIZZIZ

Do you see anything that belongs to your child? Please contact your child's classroom teacher if you need us to send something home. We will place it in a plastic bag if you wish to keep it contained for a few days first.

For your convenience: this is a summary of the newest guidelines for children that became effective November 2, 2020:

Supporting the Devon Christmas Elves

Every year, the families of Robina Baker have been great supporters of the Devon Christmas Elves! Due to the pandemic, the Christmas Elves Association have asked that we continue to support them, but in a different way. Instead of having a food and toy drive, Devon Christmas Elves will be graciously accepting financial donations in the form of cash, cheque or gift cards to IGA and Hardy’s Independent Grocery ONLY.

For more info and ways to donate, please go to the Christmas Elves Website

You can donate on-line and receive an instant tax receipt at canadahelps.org
