It was another wonderful week at RBES! What a way to kick off June with some beautiful weather. Our students really enjoyed recess time and physed periods outside. Everything has really greened up everywhere and of course we now have thousands and thousands of dandelions. Dandelion bouquets and blowing the seeds around were apart of many children's recess fun!
The grade ones planted beans and wild flowers this week. We planted in soil and in a green house using a plastic bag attached the the window. Grade 1 is also doing some experiments with planting. We planted a seed in the dark, in a tiny container, in soil, in sand and in sugar. We are learning about all the needs of plants over the next two weeks.
Our grade fours went on a spring walk to study plant life in Devon. They were super lucky to get a really sunny day!
We will be focusing on the theme of PERSEVERANCE for the remainder of the year in our assemblies!

All parents are invited and welcome to attend our upcoming Annual General Meetings (AGM) for both our School Council and Fundraising Committee. Both will be held virtually on the evening of June 7th. We encourage all parents to come have a voice in our school!

This online raffle will support our Parent Fundraising Committee in paying for the Mathletics subscription and Agendas for the 21/22 school year.
Tickets are only available online with 1 for $10, 4 for $20, 20 for $50 and 100 for $100.
The class that sells the most tickets will win $100 towards a year end party of their choice (covid friendly of course).
Ticket sales end June 23rd and the winner will be drawn on June 23rd.
Last time this 50/50 raffle almost sold out! Let's do that again and show our support for our school community.
