Our hearts are filled with love and appreciation for so many! Our RBES community is truly the BEST!

THANK YOU to the kind person who left a special delivery at our door this past Friday! Your kindness and generosity was appreciated by our staff!

THANK YOU to our School Council and all participating local businesses/parents that contributed to a special goodie bag for our staff. These lovely treats have been in quarantine for the past week and will be handed out for our staff to enjoy on Monday. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated!

THANK YOU to all of our RBES community for continuing to work together through the Pandemic and all of the related protocls. We know that it is tiresome, but we truly appreciate your efforts to keep us informed as it has allowed us to keep our environment at school a safe and healthy one. We know that it is not always convenient and it can be frustrating, but by working together we are keeping your children safe.

THANK YOU to Mrs. Horrocks and Mrs. Culp for your tireless efforts in: student care, hundreds of parent emails & phone calls per week, tracking student illness, and providing support on top of all of their other duties. You are both AMAZING and we APPRECIATE YOU so much!

THANK YOU to Miss Pam, Mac, and Miss Betty for keeping our school so clean and safe for all of us! You are AWESOME!

THANK YOU to our TEACHERS and our EAs for their OUTSTANDING effort every single day! This year is a test of perseverance and stamina and you are all ROCKIN' IT! So proud of each and every one of you!

THANK YOU to our BUS DRIVERS - Vera, Kathy, and Teresa! Your patience and kindness towards our students is truly wonderful and we appreciate you!!

THANK YOU to ASPEN LEAF ENERGY for a very generous $1000 donation towards the Health and Wellness of students at RBES. This money has been used to purchase classroom kits called "Brain Smoothies" for all of our students to enjoy. Brain Smoothies are art-based exercises that provide a mental break, foster focus, and energize the mind.

THANK YOU to IGA for donating packets of sanitizing wipes to our staf. So KIND and thoughtful of you!

THANK YOU to CIRCLE K for a tremendous large donation of masks, wipes, and sanitizers! Wow! So unbelievably generous of you!

Please read the message below from our RBES School Council. Beneath that you can read the latest from the Black Gold School Division and their decision to NOT pilot the draft curriculum. Your voice matters and we hope that you will help us all be heard!

Hello Robina Parents!

If you have not already done so, we urge you to review the draft K-6 curriculum that the UCP has created: https://www.alberta.ca/curriculum.aspx. As you scroll down on this link, there will be sub menus at the top entitled: Overview, Key Themes, Subject Areas, Have Your Say & How We Got Here. Please review all of the tabs but make sure that you go to the Have Your Say tab to complete the survey and provide your feedback on the changes to the curriculum as well as the timing of the rollout. You can submit the survey several different times, on each subject matter or on the curriculum as a whole The UCP government plans to roll out this curriculum to a test group of schools for the 2021-22 school year. Given the additional protocols currently in place due to COVID-19 and existing strains on budgets and staff resources we do not believe that this is a reasonable ask of any of the school districts or K-6 schools over the next year. Further, this is not the right time to be using our children as test subjects given all of the changes they have already been asked to adapt to during the pandemic. Parents, we need to use our voices to let this be known.

Please read the important update from our Black Gold School Division regarding the new draft curriculum. Here is a LINK to the special board meeting that was called to discuss the pilot.
