We hope all of our RBES families are enjoying the long weekend and have had a chance to be outside and enjoy some of the sunshine we have had the past couple of days. Student lessons will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, May 19). Stay Healthy and Be Safe!

Don't forget to check out our Raptor Chats each week. Mr. Coffin and Mrs. Kloschinsky both really enjoy hearing from you all afterwards!

2019 - 2020 yearbooks are now on sale and will be added to your PowerSchool account for you to purchase. If you would like a yearbook for this current year, you will need to have your order in by June 1, 2020. The good news is this one will be ready for delivery on time as we have a few people working on it already. The yearbook will also feature a pandemic section and include photos of students working from home and any special theme days that we have from this time. We thought it was important to highlight and remember what our reality was during this historical time.

Last year's yearbooks will be arriving shortly. We are expecting delivery anytime. We will make arrangements to send them out to you, drop them off, or arrange a pick up. Thank you for your patience with this past yearbook.

Fundraisers

We had planned to run a number of fundraisers this spring (Growing Smiles, Beef Jerky, School dance, Timbits tournament) that have all unfortunately been cancelled.

For 2020/2021, the fundraising team needs to ensure we have a plan for any fundraising that will start in the fall and that we would like to have enough funds in the account to cover our annual commitments (agendas, mathletics subscription and society insurance coverage).

The current account balance is $1604.08 with a few minor expenses (like movie night) and the 2019/2020 costs for the aforementioned items was $5554.51. This leaves us with a shortfall of approximately $4000 in order to cover these items as we have in the past. This will require hard work by the committee and school community once there is a plan in place to return to schools.

Casino

Our Casino slot in Dec 2020 has will be moved back to a later date as all casino bookings have been adjusted to account for the time that the Casinos were closed. We will provide an update when we get more information from the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Corporation

Playground

The current balance for the Playground account is $44,670.71.
