We hope you are all doing well and are staying healthy. If you are sick or self isolated, we wish you a speedy recovery! It has certainly been a challenging week for everyone, but the hardest part for us was the empty building and the communication silence that we had to go through. The teachers are so excited to get in touch with you all tomorrow and they've got many ideas on how to continue teaching you through a virtual world.

There has been a number of communication letters from myself, our Superintendent, Mr. Bill Romanchuk, plus one from Alberta Education that have been forwarded on to you via email. Please read them as they contain important information. Now, more than ever, we will be relying on email and our google sites to communicate with you.

Each teacher now has a google site and the teachers in grades 1-4 also have a google classroom. These will be their primary teaching and communication tools, along with email. There will be a google survey sent out to you from your teachers tomorrow that will give us valuable information on how to service the education needs of our students. Please fill that out as soon as you receive it!

Thank you to all of our families who filled out the technology survey. We have a number of chromebooks ready to hand out with the pick up of supplies tomorrow. There will be one device provided for each family in need. If your circumstances have changed and you now need a device (or no longer require one), please let us know at pick up time tomorrow. If we are short the number of devices needed, then we will make arrangements for you to receive one at a later date. Based on the survey, we provided a number of device requests to Black Gold last Thursday and that is all we have for the moment. No need to worry, we will do what we can to help all who need it!

The letter also includes a link for a sign up time if you haven't chosen one yet. If you are unable to pick up your child(ren)'s belongings for whatever reason, it is ok to send a neighbor, friend, or family member to pick them up for you; but please sign up for a time. You can also call the school for a time to be assigned to you. We appreciate everyone's help in making this a smooth and healthy process for our staff and our community. Remember: send only one representative per family, practice social distancing, and please stay home if you have any symptoms. Thank You!
