STAFFING NEWS . . .

Mrs. Kuntz (1A) has gone on maternity leave and will be having her baby some time soon (we will be sure to share the news). We will miss her and wish her all the BEST! Ms. Greenhough is our new 1A teacher and we would like to send out a big WELCOME to her! She is quickly learning the ropes at RBES and we are thrilled to have her on our team!

We also haven't officially welcomed or introduced you to Mrs. Culp who is a temporary member of our office team. She is helping us out while we search for a new accounting secretary and we are grateful for all the help she has given us! This is a super challenging position and we appreciate the amazing number of parent applicants that we have had, however, due to the incredible learning curve and the numerous programs that our financial secretary has to know, we are looking for a very specific skill set. Thank you to all of you that have applied. Due to the large number of applicants, I am unable to respond to you all individually. We were thrilled to see all the interest!

Summer interactive skills sessions - 2019 BRIEF .pdf

Hello everyone!

Well spring is almost here, and so our thoughts turn to bike riding, hiking, gardening, and all those other spring and summer fun activities! Here at our clinic our thoughts also turn to our SUMMER INTERACTIVE SKILLS PROGRAM!

This is our week-long summer social skills camp. Each participant comes for a half-day to learn and practice social skills in lots of fun ways with on-the-spot coaching! We have 2 week-long sessions the last 2 weeks of July, and another one near the end of August.

This is a great introduction to our Training in Core Social Skills program for those who may be needing some social development. Upon completion of the one-week summer program, you might decide to continue on into our school year group program or 1-1 Social Coaching program at the clinic (but call us and let us know soon, as those spots fill up fast!) or just spend the year practising and coaching at home and then come again the following summer to brush up on skills. For those who have already completed our school year group or 1-1 Social Coaching program, this is a great way to practice their skills with a peer group in a fun way.

Please call us if you would like to book an intake interview to assess whether this, or any other of our programs, might be a good fit for your child at (780) 454-4634. Or email us at: office@eckertchildpsych.ca

If your child or anyone you know of might benefit from this program, please feel free to pass this information along!

P.S.: These treatment programs are often reimbursed through extended health benefits programs. Also, for those with FSCD contracts, FSCD supports this summer program. Ask us for details.

Have a wonderful day!
