THEME OF THE MONTH: KINDNESS
Our theme of the month for February is Kindness. Students are encouraged on a daily basis to really focus on Kindness and to be more thoughtful than usual. Students will "be caught" being Kind throughout this last week of February and if an adult in the building catches their RAK (Random Act of Kindness) they are invited to choose a square to write their name on at the office. Draws will be made next week for prizes!

We had another amazing Wellness event - a ton of fun was had by all! All of our students went to body, mind, food and fun sessions! Click here for more pictures from this event!

Many of our students and staff wore pink on Pink Shirt day this past Wednesday to show their support for Kindness! There were many writing and art projects to really reinforce the message to students as well as a number of great books that were shared in each of our classrooms. Of course, we had to share our Pink Shirt Day video from a few years ago in the assembly. Our older grades still have fond memories of creating the video and it sparked some great conversation on how we can continue to spread Kindness everywhere we go. The Alberta Teacher’s Association has organized a coordinated MLA engagement activity that advocates for class size reductions and improved supports for inclusion and classroom complexity. If you are interested in writing a letter there are easily fillable form letters in the office for parents to use. Please help us in voicing our concerns!
