We had a number of students win a draw for a poster from the book fair. Congratulations to all of those students!!

Don't forget to hand in those wristbands to enter our draw! Also a minimum of 15 minutes in the river valley or on the Devon multi-pathway system also gets you a wristband to enter into the draw. Have your child stop by the office to get a wristband for the draw if they did some exercise around Devon.

Halloween was such a fun filled day. After the parade at 9:00 am, you could see students doing a variety of activities throughout the school. There were treats, pumpkin decorating and carving, spooky art projects, Halloween learning centres, games and pumpkin math to name a few. Cargill Cereal Donation
Cargill Cereal Donation
We would like send out a big THANK YOU to the Cargill Company out of Calmar. They conducted a "Cereal Drive" and were able to collect over 250 boxes of cereal. We were one of 6 schools to receive a donation of just over 40 boxes of cereal for our nutrition program. A few of our SWAT (Student Wellness Action Team) students were on hand to receive the delivery and then to move it to our food storage area. This will be a great addition to our nutrition program.

We would like to invite our families to attend our Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 8th at 10:45 am. This is the day that we choose to remember all of the people who have served our country and our community. We ask that all students and staff wear formal dress please.

Black Gold School Division will be testing its emergency alert notifications using our student information system contacts on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
Black Gold School Division will be testing its emergency alert notifications using our student information system contacts on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
The test is meant to help identify any gaps in the system and to bring awareness to our emergency notification process.

Emergency contacts will receive test alerts on their cell phone, phone and email. The Division will also be testing its community hotline, web and social media alerts.
