What a fun holiday spirit day that we had on Friday! The students were also busy working on a project that we will be able to share with you next week! Thank you to all the parents who helped get their children all decked out in amazing holiday spirit wear. We will share pictures as part of our video project next week. Stay Tuned . . . the few pictures below are just a little teaser! If you follow us on FaceBook you will also see a video teaser there as well!

In case you missed it . . . Students will do At-Home Learning from January 4-8th. RBES and BGSD has shared a document with you. You can read the document in the last weekly updates or click HERE! Print packages went home this past Friday - please check your child's backpack. If your child was away, your package will be sent home this week or if your child will be away, please call to arrange a pick up. Please put these packages aside for safe keeping until January 4th. Your child's teacher will answer any questions you have about the package when things get started up again after the Christmas break. There will also be a more detailed plan shared with you in the coming days. If you have any questions, please let us know once our plan has been shared as we anticipate it will address a number of your concerns / questions.

Semester 2 Choice of Learning
Semester 2 Choice of Learning
Families are asked to indicate their choice of learning experience by noon on January 6, 2021. Black Gold School Division can then organize resources and staff to support students and families for the start of the second semester on February 1, 2021.
Simply log on to PowerSchool and complete the form called "Declaration of Choice of Learning Experience - Semester 2". If you have any PowerSchool questions regarding the process of completing the form, or if you are having issues logging on to PowerSchool, please call the office at 780-987-3705.
Even if you are not changing programming - you must complete the form. THANK YOU!

We have had a few parents / families reach out to ask if it is ok to send in Christmas gifts to our staff. As much as we appreciate you thinking of us, and in the interest of safety, we kindly ask that you instead consider one of these other options.
We have had a few parents / families reach out to ask if it is ok to send in Christmas gifts to our staff. As much as we appreciate you thinking of us, and in the interest of safety, we kindly ask that you instead consider one of these other options.
- Send in a card with a thoughtful greeting.
- Make a donation in the staff member's name to the Devon Christmas Elves or another charity.
- Send an e-gift card.
- Include a gift card with your Christmas card.
We kindly ask that you not send in gifts in any shape or form. A small card is easy for us to quarantine and set aside to open in a few days, but a gift bag or a beautifully wrapped package presents too many opportunities for extra touch surfaces and transmission. We are all trying to be extra careful, so that we may all enjoy a healthy Christmas break with our families. Thank you for your understanding!
