CROSS WALKS AND PARKING . . .

This is a reminder to all parents regarding parking and cross walk safety. We understand that parking is tricky for all with our limited amount of space. Please remember to park and drop your child off in a quick and timely fashion so that more parents can utilize our parking spaces. Our stalls are not meant for long time parking. Please leave sufficient space on either side of the cross walks to keep our students safe and even though our bus lane is empty at times PARKING OR A QUICK DROP OFF IS PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL. Thank you for your continued support in helping to maintain a safe environment at RBES!

This week the Grade 4 students had the opportunity to work with Mr. Maltais from Black Gold again and complete a digital art project inspired by Jen Aranyi. Jen Aranyi is a nature-loving artist and designer who enjoys creating vibrant and colourful watercolor art. She particularly likes painting the sky and mountain landscapes of photos she has taken herself. The students created their very own Jen Aranyi inspired art using digital tools.

SAVE THE DATE!! During MARCH 22-24 plan to spend a few minutes with your child and see what they have been learning. This is a great opportunity for them to show you what they can do!

Did you know that we have safely packaged food available in our office for those in need? Sometimes students forget a lunch, work or play extra hard and are still hungry after eating what you send, or their family is struggling. No matter what the situation, students can access food in our office. We are planning to work with local grocery stores to provide a daily bagged lunch for those in need. All you have to do is email the office and let us know. You may also receive a call from the office or your child's teacher to see if you are interested in this program. Don't be shy! This is a government grant and we want to ensure that those who need it are supported.

We will also be having a school wide snack program every Friday and one grade will be featured each week. Each child in that grade will receive the Friday snack. All children will get one Friday snack per month. We are focusing on fresh stuff and are having "veggie" bags safely prepped and made up at IGA.

Check out this week's library post HERE! It is a continuation of last week's post featuring PK books.
