FIS Technology & Responsible Use Agreement
FIS technology resources are dedicated to furthering the school's mission and to serve the educational pursuits of the community. The development of the FIS core beliefs and personal responsibility for learning are expectations that also govern technology use. All school policies and procedures governing student behavior apply to students when using computer and network resources. Access to the FIS network resources and the Internet is a privilege, not a right. Students are to use technology in an appropriate manner consistent with the FIS Student Conduct Policy (8.5), Student Responsible Use Agreement (8.134R), and German Law. Failure to act responsibly while using the school network resources will be handled in accordance with appropriate disciplinary procedures.
The Learner Profile (LP) is a set of attributes that are central to learning in an IB school. Students, teachers, and parents should strive to meet these distinctive attributes which help develop a successful learner. The Learner profile attributes are embedded into the school curriculum, policies, and culture. This document outlines how ICT tools and the Learner Profile can ensure an understanding of the acceptable use of technology in the school. It also helps to guide us on Expectations for Responsible Use at Frankfurt International School.
