In order to maintain and grow positive relations with former students, parents, employees and Board Members ('FIS Alumni'), FIS will employ a Manager of Alumni Relations. This individual will report to the Manager of Development and Alumni Relations under the Admissions and Advancement Department.
The Manager of Alumni Relations will coordinate regular communications and networking opportunities with alumni by issuing Alumni Newsletters, update the Alumni Portal of the FIS website, and by utilizing appropriate social media. This individual will also reply to alumni inquiries and host alumni as they return to FIS throughout the year to visit the school, as well as gather alumni profiles that may be of interest or use to other areas of the school, such as the internship program, Careers Day, and articles for FIS World. Periodic alumni surveys will also be utilized to gather feedback for program involvement.
The school will also host an annual Alumni Reunion on the Oberursel campus that celebrates significant alumni anniversaries such as ten, twenty-five or fifty year reunions. Additional reunions may be supported in other parts of the world where there exists a strong alumni presence and/or interest in gathering.
A key responsibility of the Manager of Alumni Relations will be to maintain and update a database of all FIS alumni. In addition to collecting contact information from graduating students, ongoing research will take place to obtain information from alumni who have lost contact with the school. This information will be used to connect alumni through FIS communication channels and to invite alumni to participate in the school's Annual Fund.
