Title: Service Learning

Service learning programs are based on various forms of service to others, involve students across grade levels, and may culminate in regional or international travel. Programs may or may not involve fundraising, depending on their mission and goals.
Proposals for new service groups shall be submitted by students to the designated ADCON member. Strategic plans and essential agreements must be submitted to the US service team for approval with no fundraising within the first twelve months when the focus is on raising awareness.
Any program or service must be consistent with the school mission, with provisions for in-service and program evaluation, and benefits which justify the cost, for acceptance. Annual renewal will be based on the above and the service learning rubric will be applied. In the event of undistributed funds, the US service team will allocate the monies with student input.
All student-led fundraising should be designed to benefit the project and not to reduce the cost to the individual participants. Fundraising for travel cost is not permitted without
