A memorial in honor of a deceased student or employee of FIS could be in the form of an award, a memorial fund or scholarship, a collection of library books, a memorial plaque, or planting.

The recommendation for the memorial, a physical marker such as a plaque, and a corresponding dedication ceremony will be made to the Head of School by the division or department most closely associated with the deceased.  The Facilities Team will be consulted regarding location of any plaque or planting. Written permission from family members shall be obtained prior to making final arrangements. The school will endeavor to maintain these memorials.
