1. It is the school’s legal obligation and that of the Safety and Security Coordinator (SSC) to ensure that all personnel have familiarized themselves with emergency response procedures, as well as the procedures for fire alarms, lock downs and campus evacuations. Instructions are found in the Classroom Emergency and Safety Procedure Guide located in each classroom and office and in assembly areas throughout the school (cafeteria, faculty/staff lounge, etc.)
2. The school shall provide instructions to staff, especially office and reception personnel, in dealing with threatening telephone calls. Any incident shall be immediately reported to the Head of School and the SSC, who will in turn notify the local authorities as the situation dictates. The school shall assist the local authorities in attempting to identify the person(s) making the threat.
