Title: Employee Compensation and Benefits

The Head of School shall on a regular basis assess the compensation of school employees, evaluate position descriptions and make recommendations to the Finance Committee regarding compensation and benefit programs.
a) The compensation and benefits structure shall encourage the recruitment and retention of qualified, able and experienced faculty, staff and administrators.
b) All FIS employees shall be fairly and competitively compensated in relationship to others exercising similar responsibilities in Germany and/or comparable international schools in Europe.
c) The compensation and benefits structure shall take into consideration the long-term financial security of employees.
d) The compensation and benefits structure shall provide for and encourage the career development of each employee.
e) The salary structure established shall provide for the long-term financial health of the school as a continuing institution.
f) All faculty, staff and administrators shall receive fringe benefits, including provision for pensions, which are fair and competitive in relationship to others exercising similar responsibilities in Germany and/or comparable international schools in Europe.
