Title: Student Transportation in Private Vehicles

In order to ensure the safety of all students, respect for our neighborhood, and adherence to traffic regulations, all students must be dropped off and picked up at campus locations designated by FIS.
All students - regardless of their means of commuting - are covered by the mandatory governmental accident insurance on their direct way to and from school.
However, this does not relieve a driver of a private car transporting students to and from school or to school-related activities of the responsibility to carry the appropriate accident and liability insurance. According to German law it is the decision of the individual to transport others at his own risk.
The school is not responsible for student safety in any instances when students ride in private vehicles, including car pools arranged by parents or students transporting students.
