Title: Parent Contribution to the Cost of School-sponsored Co-curricular Trips

The cost of the annual grade 5-11 grade level trips, which are an integral part of the curriculum, is included in the tuition fee. For all other trips, the following rules shall apply:
1. Lower school trips which occur during the school day: The school shall pay all transportation costs. The parents shall pay entrance fees, etc.
2. Upper school trips which occur during the school day: Parents may be required to cover costs.
3. Overnight trips for inter-school events: Parents shall pay all transportation, lodging and other approved costs of the participating students. The school shall pay the transportation, approved per diem and other approved costs of the chaperones. This applies to sports, Model United Nations, mathematics competition, and performing arts trips, with external representation of the school in inter-school events.
4. Other overnight school trips: Parents shall pay all transportation, lodging and other approved costs of the participating students and chaperons.
Trips that are purely recreational, such as the ski trip, receive no subsidy from the school.
If a student withdraws or is withdrawn from participating in a trip, any resulting cost to the school shall be borne by the participant.
