Good nutrition and healthy eating patterns are essential to peak academic performance for students and to long-term health. The school supports nutrition programs and nutrition education as an integral part of a high-quality education.
Students shall be provided a place and adequate time to eat lunch.
The Head of School or his/her designee is authorized to negotiate with companies that meet local health standards to arrange for various food services to provide healthy and nutritious food choices for students and personnel.
The Head of School or his/her designee is authorized to make decisions regarding the placement of food and beverage vending machines in the schools. This includes whether such machines may be installed, where they would be placed, what items would be dispensed, and during which hours they might be used.
