To protect the health and safety of all members of the community, the school is committed to preventing the spread of contagious diseases, especially dangerous and potentially fatal ones.
To ensure a proper assessment of potential threats from contagious diseases, the Head of School in conjunction with the School Nurse will closely monitor recommendations by the World Health Organization as well as national, regional and local health authorities. The school will not react to emotional pressure from the community and will not tolerate prejudicial or adverse behavior.
The school reserves the right to take precautionary measures and to deny access to the school premises to any persons (students, faculty, staff, parents and others) when there is a suspicion of possible infection with a contagious disease that could pose a danger to the community. Relevant medical records will be required from new applicants from any global area where an epidemic of a dangerous contagious disease has been confirmed. Such records will also be required of any person in the existing community (students, faculty, staff, parents and others) when this is deemed appropriate. These records will be handled in the strictest confidence.
