Vocabulary:
Background – The area or surface behind the main subject of an artwork.
Blocking/Masking – Covering areas to prevent ink or paint from reaching the surface during printing.
Brayer – A roller used to spread ink or paint evenly on a printing surface.
Composition – The arrangement of elements in an artwork.
Contrast – A difference in color, value, or texture that makes elements stand out.
Ghost Print – A lighter, second print taken from the leftover ink on a plate.
Gel Printing – A printmaking technique that uses a gelatin plate to create textured or layered backgrounds.
Line Drawing – An image created using lines only, without shading or coloring.

Stencil – A template used to apply a design by blocking ink or paint in specific areas.
