These books are highly entertaining reads from start to finish, with characters that are some of the most engaging I have come across, with wonderful personalities that evolve throughout the story as their trust and then friendship in one another grows.
The books are a delightful mixture of engaging characters and exciting events, using feudal Japanese mythology as the template to tell stories that I found totally captivating.
The only slight flaw in these books is a number of typo errors in the form of either rogue words inserted in a sentence, missing words, or sometimes the wrong word, all of which spoil the reading flow in the passages they happen in, but which fortunately doesn't happen to often.
