The Omen

I purchased the original two books in this series after spotting them for sale at the new local hypermarket, FineFare (who remembers those stores?), in the small book section they had. I had seen both of the films, though I can not remember if that was at the cinema or on the TV, however, I do recall being shocked and intrigued by both films. This was due to some very graphic death scenes, Impalement, beheading, eyes being pecked out, being sliced in two by a lift cable, which is something that I found very unnerving. I have never been fond of using lifts, and have preferred to use stairs whenever possible, so this particular scene did not improve my wariness.

The third book was again very interesting and was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, but then the fourth book was released, which in its way was an entertaining read, but it did not have the same impact as the first three.
