This is a third series that is set within the world of “The Emperor’s Edge” and is set after the events, or the majority of them, of The Emperor’s Edge.
The plot seems to be focused on a young Nurian wizard, Yanko White Fox, who reluctantly has to undertake a quest to save his people.
While this sounds all very generic, Lindsay weaves her usual magic and imbues the story with wonderful characters that have appealing personalities, together with locations and action that is just a joy to read.
I have only read the first book to date but though the tone is a little more serious than some of her other novels, this is just as engrossing and fun to read.
