The Fallen Empire
This was the third series of books by Lindsay Buroker that I had purchased, though both the others had been Fantasy based where this one is Science Fiction. I had enjoyed all Lindsay’s previous books so was looking forward to these too.
Browsing through the Kindle Store, as I am wont to do, I came across an Omnibus edition containing the first three books, plus the prequel for this series, for free, same as the Dragon Blood omnibus had been. Whereas with that book I had been a bit wary about purchasing it, because I had not read anything by Lindsay at that point, I immediately clicked the purchase button and downloaded the file.
While the settings of these adventures are totally different from the other series the characters that inhabit those settings are just as likeable and appealing and I wasn’t more than a few pages into the first book that I was hooked.
I haven’t gotten around to purchasing any more books in this series to date but I am sure I will at some point in the near future.
