2020 was the year the Coronavirus Covid-19 hit the world, with most countries going into lockdown several times throughout the year, which left a lot of people looking for things to do while being at home. If you are a reader this wasn’t such a problem as you could just pick up a book and read, though the downside is you work through your TBR list a lot faster than you normally would.
It was while in lockdown that I saw an article on the Google app on my phone about Brian Brian McCelland and the Powder Mage Novels. I was only aware of these novels by the name but did not know any details regarding what they entailed, so I read the article with interest. At the end of the article, it had a link to Brian McCelland’s website where he had a special promotion to help people get through the pandemic. This was a give-a-way offer of four of his novellas associated with the Powder Mage trilogy. If you wanted to read them you could download them for free, in MOBI format, which I did. I found all of them to be enjoyable and they have definitely sparked an interest in me to acquire the books from the trilogy at some stage.
