75. Determiners and Quantifiers

Determiners and Quantifiers are the "inventory controllers" of your linguistic code. They specify exactly which items you are referring to and in what quantity. For a Strategic Prompt Architect, these are the precision variables that define whether you are dealing with a specific set of data (these results), a general category (all results), or a limited amount (a few results).

Trong ngữ pháp, Determiners (Từ hạn định) và Quantifiers (Từ chỉ số lượng) luôn đứng trước danh từ để xác định đối tượng đó là ai/cái gì và số lượng là bao nhiêu.

1. Determiners (Từ hạn định):

   • Giúp xác định danh từ cụ thể hay chung chung.

   • Articles: A, An, The.

   • Demonstratives (Chỉ định): This, That, These, Those.

   • Possessives (Sở hữu): My, Your, His, Her...

   • Example: This laptop is faster than that one.

   • Translation: Chiếc máy tính này nhanh hơn chiếc kia.

2. Quantifiers for Countable Nouns (Với danh từ đếm được):

   • Dùng để chỉ số lượng cho những thứ có thể đếm (1, 2, 3...).

   • Words: Many, a few, few, several, a couple of.

   • Example: There are a few errors in the code.

   • Translation: Có một vài lỗi trong đoạn mã.

3. Quantifiers for Uncountable Nouns (Với danh từ không đếm được):

   • Dùng cho chất lỏng, khái niệm trừu tượng, hoặc danh từ tập hợp.

   • Words: Much, a little, little, a great deal of.

   • Example: We need a little more information.

   • Translation: Chúng tôi cần thêm một ít thông tin nữa.

4. The "Universal" Quantifiers (Dùng cho cả hai):

   • Các từ này linh hoạt, có thể đi với bất kỳ loại danh từ nào.

   • Words: Some, any, a lot of, plenty of, all, most.

   • Example: All data must be verified.

   • Translation: Tất cả dữ liệu đều phải được xác minh.

5. Few vs. A Few / Little vs. A Little (Sự khác biệt tinh tế):

   • A few / A little: Mang nghĩa tích cực (vẫn còn đủ để dùng).

   • Few / Little: Mang nghĩa tiêu cực (rất ít, gần như không có, không đủ).

   • Example: I have a little money. (Tôi có ít tiền - đủ mua cafe).

   • Example: I have little money. (Tôi chẳng có mấy tiền - nghèo lắm).
