Art Histories Humans

Over the course of this year I noticed how humans were represented throughout the different content periods. I thought it was interesting how spirituality political agendas emotional values and all spans of different ideals all were represented in one way or another by a human form.  I saw the power that came from different pieces of work from different cultures and how they held such a high morality for them.  so I wanted to piece a little magazine of 10 works from each of the content periods and show how widely and vastly different humans have been represented throughout the art history. I wanted to use stylized figures to represent the prehistoric and indigenous cultures around the world as well as the high Renaissance works from later Europe.  but I also wanted to bring the context behind each of individual piece  because there are some similarities but a lot of them were used for vastly different things.  I wanted to hand illustrate the drawings to show a more comic Style rendition of these famous pieces,  but also remembering that a drawing is just as much as a context behind it.
