Title: Overwhelmed

Artist statement: while making this piece I wanted to focus on how much of a storm this past year has been. I thought of a way I could express how overwhelmed I was. I decided to make a could express how unpredictable my last semester was.

I started by mapping out where I wanted the raindrops and the cloud to be, I pondered if I could somehow make it so it was free-standing. and after toying with the idea that there were too many moving pieces so I decided to just glue it on the paper. I made every rolled piece of paper with my fingers and a bit of super glue.

if I were to do it again I would have added more small circles to fill in the empty space, I also would have found a way to incorporate a lightning bolt like I wanted to originally.
