artist statement:

I took inspiration the the goddess hecate, she represents mother maiden and crown and is often represented in 3s. life and ageing is often feared and I wanted to show the buestfes and god like experce as aging.

I first sketched out the 3 women who. were connected by hair, they each have different features but sure youth, middle age and old age. I used pen in a scratching motion to add shading, then used different shades of grey markers to add solid shadow.
