artsist statement:

When making this piece I wanted to focus on the addiction itself. What aspects of addiction come into play to consider it a addiction. I wanted to show the other sides of it, the smell, the look. I did this by using cigarettes as hair to show the smell of it, the pale ashy skin to show the effect of cancer and chemo from cigarettes.  

i made the head and ash tray out of polymer clay, then I painted them with acrylic paint. I hand rolled and color piece of paper to make the cigarettes butts.
