materials: oil stick paint, metal tools
artist statement:
It took a couple of times to get what I wanted, at least the baseline on a piece of paper. I know I wanted to start focusing on the over exaggerated human form while representing the type of emotion specific to each piece.
I wanted to represent dysmopia but in a figurtive sense, then incorporate that into the human form. I was thinking about common examples of colors the repersent angry and power.
I added texture using metal tools and thick layers of the oil stick paint.
