artist statement:

For this piece I wanted to use perspective to show more depth to the prompt, seeing it from a third person view. I wanted to show what addiction can also look like. someone could seem put together with them having a whole nother world taking over their life.

I used contrast in colors to add depth, as well as using light and dark contrast to emhpisings certain asspects of the piece. the oil pastels also added texture to paper which made it easier to add haze effect on the piece.
