materials: cray pen 

artist statement: 

the cray pen is close to encaustic both essential use colored wax. I used the cray pen so I could add texture and 3d aspect to the piece. I wanted the pill in the bowl to feel like little pill. 

I used a wood block as the base for a more sturdy base for the wax. to blend the colors I found added layers of each was how I could get them not to turn brown and muddy. 

I also used perspective in this piece I wanted to show the different ways we can view the world in art, also in most of my art I don't have a varied point of perspective.
