artist statement: 

when making this piece I wanted to I wanted to use a variety of different flower I took picture of in thailand. the buffalo was also representative of a picture i took.

when creating this piece I wanted to focus on the varity of flowers, the color but also how could I add dimension to the piece. i did this by layering the flowers on top of each other. for the color i wanted to add variety.

while using the palette knife i had to let go a lot of control I had over the piece. I the palette knife made it easy to create bold marks and lines.
